A superb guide with every credential you could ask for, and a exceedingly gracious lady, Emma Krais guided us for two 1/2 day tours on April 28 & 30, 2015. Day 1 was primarily the (old/original) City of London, Day 2 was Fleet Street, Inns of Court, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Her courtesy and conviviality are only exceeded by her encyclopedic knowledge of London. It’s hard to imagine anyone being better. Her knowledge of the City’s history is deep and wide. You will see with different eyes after walking through the City of London with her, Her history is first rate, but not excessive or pedagogical. There are reasons London is a world financial and cultural capital, reasons that go back a very long way. Emma weaves the past and the present in a seamless web. Similarly, St. Paul’s Cathedral came alive with her, it’s a history of England in a single building. Her numerous certifications grant Emma access to places other guides do not have. She is is one a small group of guides who have earned the privileges of the City of London. She was greeted with genuine warmth and respect throughout both days. She is also funny and fun to be with. We will be returning to London and to Emma Krais Tours. If asked, we would give her the highest recommendation. You will be so pleased you made the decision to retain her.
